Reinforcing stone tiles

In recent decades, tile coverings such as stone, marble, ceramics, and mosaics have been widely used for exterior cladding due to their luxurious appearance.

Unfortunately, it is precisely in these veils that the danger and challenge are greater.

The tiles hide what is happening behind them and pose a problem in identifying cracks and openings for the purpose of concrete restoration and sealing structures due to water infiltration.

In addition, there are tiles that are glued to the wall with glue only, at a great height, and without any reinforcement or anchoring.

For example, in the case of a structure covered with mosaic or ceramic tiles, since these tiles cannot be anchored by drilling and inserting a long screw, reinforcement when necessary will be done externally and without screws.

In cases where the building is covered with marble, there is a tangible danger of tiles falling,
Therefore, it is of utmost importance that the work is done in the most professional manner.
While complying with all required standards and accompanied by an engineer.

Reinforcement will be done by inserting dowels.
Through the tiles into the wall using screws appropriate for the thickness of the stone.

M.D.D. works with the assistance of a certified engineer as needed, uses professional equipment designed for strengthening and replacing stones, and complies with all required standards and procedures.
