Plastering work at height

plaster

Exterior cladding is very common in Israel and serves as an insulation and waterproofing layer that protects the skeleton structure from the elements.
Plaster is also used as a final layer before painting and/or other exterior coating (spray, sanding, etc.).

Exterior plaster
Consists of three layers,

The first is called the layer of rabbetza or, in workers' slang, the black rabbetza.
The purpose of this layer is to serve as a link between the wall and the next layer.
The second layer is called a leveling layer and its application begins when the first layer dries.
The purpose of this layer is to build a good base upon which the finishing layer will come.
The third layer is the finishing layer and gives the desired final texture.

Due to environmental factors, after time and exposure, the exterior plaster peels, cracks, and eventually falls off.
This leaves the structure exposed to the elements and can cause deep wounds to the skeleton and extensive damage.

Identifying plaster damage in time can save you from more complex and expensive concrete restoration work caused by neglect.
